The enterprise workshops we deliver can revolve around several different methods.
We pride ourselves on being flexible in tailoring each session, to any particular area or skill set the learning establishment wishes to focus on and explore.
Participants are split into small groups and given a budget of £50,000. They are then asked to create a shop based business venture, in their local area and work together to budget the seed money in order to set up their venture. Each group is asked to present their ideas at the end of the task. This task encourages creativity, team work, communication and budgeting skills as well as giving learners a useful insight into what it takes to set up a business.
Creating a business from scratch offering a product or service for sale. This can be run as a more in depth enterprise programme covering every stage of setting up an entirely new business, from understanding the types of business structure, creating a business plan and choosing a product or service to sell as well as marketing, promotion, finance and funding options. This programme covers all areas of setting up a real business giving participants a true taste of exactly what is involved in starting a business.
Using their imagination and creative skills, the participants must decide the kind of event they wish to hold, where they will run the event and create a business plan for how their event will run. During the workshop we offer guidance as to what areas they need to focus on such as risk assessments, market research, promotion, staffing costs, and budgeting.
Entrepreneurial Master class with Danny Bond, a successful Leeds based DJ turned entrepreneur gives inspirational talks and offers practical advice covering a range of business areas. Danny provides participants with a real life insight into becoming a successful entrepreneur and the do's and don'ts of running your own business.
We also offer workshops on marketing yourself - this covers a variety of topics such as how to perform well in an interview, how to develop leadership skills, CV writing, and the importance of team work. These sessions focus on getting participants ready for the outside world, whatever path they may choose whether they are planning on university or employment, participants will leave with all of the requisite skills needed to attain their goals and become successful, confident individuals.
Enhancing your skill set sessions - these sessions focus on one or two key areas of enterprise and are designed to provide participants who already have some business experience with a more detailed look at key areas and how to get the most out of them, for example sales and marketing or creating a successful business plan.
If you have any questions about our services, or if you want to find out more about how we can work together, just give us a shout and we can discuss your requirements.
All of our workshops can be accredited on request.
